Jesus said to him: Thomas, because you have seen, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe (John 20:29). Thomas then proclaimed: My Lord and my God (John 20:28)! The Apostle Peter testified of Jesus' resurrection because He had personally witnessed it! Thomas, disciple of Jesus, doubted Jesus' resurrection until He showed him his nail scarred hands, and where the spear had been thrust in his side.

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:3-4).

Scripture reveals: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again in a lively (living) hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Scripture reveals: These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded (assured) of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth (Hebrews 11:13).
GLIMPSES OF HEAVEN FULL
Biblical Account Glimpse of HeavenĪ Biblical account of a glimpse of heaven is given concerning the first Christian Martyr named Stephen: But he (Stephen) being full of the Holy Ghost (God's Spirit), looked up steadfastly into heaven, saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man (Jesus) standing on the right hand of God (Acts 7:55-56).Ī glorious moment, for a servant of Christ, who was about to give His life for the one who had given His own life for all of mankind, the Lord Jesus Christ! Stephen, being under the influence of God's Spirit, strong in the faith, looking steadfastly to heaven, was given a glimpse of heaven at that moment.įew have had the luxury of personally witnessing the grandness of heaven, as Stephen yet they believe. Heaven's wonders are beyond description! One such description is in a book entitled " 90 Minutes in Heaven" testifying of an individual's glimpse of heaven. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:2-3). Jesus said: In my Father's house are many mansions (dwellings): if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. The glories of heaven belong only to those who have personally trusted Christ for their salvation. It was noted that heaven is a place and the eternal hope of the saved. This clearly expresses God's desire for the salvation of all who will trust in Him not the eternal separation previously mentioned. God's Word reveals: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We can accept the work of redemption that Christ accomplished for us, through His death on the Cross, and have our sins forgiven and welcomed to a home in Heaven, or we can stand before God in the day of judgment and be sentenced to eternal separation from Him. It was noted that a day of accounting is coming for all people. A glimpse of heaven is revealed when one yields their life over to the Lord an unforgettable event that opens the portals of heaven itself! One man stated: Entrance into Heaven is not at the hour of death but at the moment of conversion to Christ (Benjamin Whichcote). A glimpse of Heaven is given in God's Word as the dwelling place of the Deity everlasting abode of the righteous, and referred to as Paradise.
